Willow Park conclude MM National Broodmare Sale Third Highest on Aggregate

15 Jun 2015

Willow Park finished the 2015 MM National Broodmare Sale 3rd highest on aggregate. It was a pleasure to consign such an elite draft of young commercial mares. There were some excellent results for our clients who hail from across Australia and internationally and we were absolutelywere delighted to be able to produce the results for them that we did.  27 mares were offered and 26 sold for an aggregate of $4,337,000 at an average of $166,808.

A tick over 1000 individual broodmare parades took place over a 4 day inspection period and the staff clocked approximately 175,000 steps (115km) from the first parade day (weanlings included)! Now that's dedication!

Top price was $475,000 for The Huntress consigned to Kitchwin Hills. Other highlight lots included $360k for the gorgeous Catalonia who sold to Lawrence and Linda at Tyreel, Nutkin who sold to James Harron Bloodstock for $325,000, and Snitzel's Jewel sold to Sheamus Mills Bloodstock for $240,000.

WP graduates also starred in the ring over the 3 days of the sale. Group 3 winner Jazz Song (sold by Willow Park for $625,000 as a yearling) made $800,000 and Rose of Kentucky (a $400,000 yearling consigned by Willow Park Stud; a half sister to Champion Filly Samantha Miss) sold for $475,000.
