Willow Park Leading Vendor at National Broodmare Sale!

2016 Magic Millions National Mare Sale was a very successful one for Willow Park, 35 mares sold for a gross of $7,907,000 – leading the way on vendor aggregate, and averaging a phenomenal $226,000 (the sale average was $134,000). This was the highest aggregate (non dispersal) in history for a broodmare sale draft in the Southern Hemisphere.
Top price for the stud (and 2nd top price of the entire sale), was $1.9 million for Group 1 winning homebred Bounding (pictured), Stone Street Thoroughbreds from Kentucky were lucky enough to secure the gorgeous daughter of Exceed And Excel.
Other notable mares sold, both in foal to Snitzel, were Surf Poet, purchased Emirates Park purchasing for $700,000, and Why Be Discreet purchased by China Horse Club for $520,000.
