Group 1 winner for Parmalove

We have seen some fantastic results for the progeny of Willow Park-sold broodmares this season, highlighted at the top level again by Velocious' win in the Group 1 Sistema Stakes at Ellerslie on Saturday.

 

The Stephen Marsh trained filly won the RL Karaka Millions 2YO at her previous start, to go with another Listed win in the Counties Challenge Stakes earlier in the season. 

 

The dominant two-year-old in New Zealand this season, Velocious (Written Tycoon) is the third foal from Parmalove (Snitzel), a dual winner at two herself.

 

Parmalove was purchased by Canterbury breeders Inglewood Stud for $230,000 from Willow Park's 2018 Magic Millions Broodmare Sale draft, carrying her first foal by Capitalist. That filly, Mozzarella, was retained by Inglewood and won twice from 10 starts, also running fourth at Listed level as a two-year-old.

 

Parmalove's second foal, Penvose Lad [NZ] (U S Navy Flag), has had five starts to date for one win and three placings, including a 0.1L second in the Listed Champagne Stakes (1200m) at two.

 

Parmalove has made a dream start to her breeding career with her first three foals for the Inglewood Stud team and with fillies by Dundeel [NZ] and Per Incanto [USA] coming through, the future looks even brighter!
