Little Favours produces stakes winner

The 2023/24 racing season may be winding down, but the momentum continues for Willow Park-sold broodmares!
Sunday night racing in Hong Kong saw the 12th stakes winner produced by a Willow Park-sold broodmare this season, when Mugen claimed victory in the Group 3 Premier Cup. A son of Hong Kong's reigning Champion Sire Deep Field, Mugen is the third foal from Little Favours (Falvelon), who was sold at the Magic Millions Broodmare Sale in 2015.
The five-year-old had two starts in Australia at three, winning at Moonee Valley by four lengths on debut, before running second by a nose at Sandown. Since being exported to Hong Kong, he has four wins and four placings under his belt from 11 starts, including a third in the Group 1 Chairman's Sprint Prize two starts back, behind Invincible Sage and California Spangle. Mugen turned the tables on the champion California Spangle in Sunday night's Premier Cup, coming from last to win by a neck.
A Listed placed winner of four, Little Favours was sold through Willow Park back in 2015, carrying her first foal by Stratum, to Kulani Park for $105,000. Her first foal, Stravain, recorded four wins and her second living foal, Writtle (Written Tycoon), has won seven races to date, including three of his last four starts in 2024.
Unfortunately, Mugen is the final foal produced by Little Favours, but we look forward to watching his career continue to unfold in Hong Kong!
