Adolphus bolts in at Rosehill
16 Oct 2025
A trio of winning graduates on Saturday was highlighted by an all-the-way win at Rosehill for the Matt Dale-trained Adolphus.
The lightly raced five-year-old jumped brilliantly in the 1500m TAB Highway, putting a gap on his rivals at the 300m mark and holding off late challengers to win by 0.66L under Ash Morgan.
Having just his 13th start, it was the fourth win for Adolphus and his first at metropolitan level. He also has four placings to his name and $166,000 in the bank.
A good-looking son of Rubick, Adolphus is the third of five foals out of dual-winning mare Autumn [NZ] (O’Reilly), making him a half-brother to stakes placed winner of seven, Arentee (Territories).
Adolphus was bred and retained to race by long-time Willow Park clients Hugh Fletcher and Dame Sian Elias, who also bred and raced his dam Autumn.
Kirk (Blue Point x Shush) and Divazou (Zoustar x Diva Express) also graced the winner’s circle on Saturday, recording their second and third wins respectively.
