Amizetta goes back-to-back

Symon Wilde's progressive stayer Amizetta saluted in the opening race at Sandown on Wednesday, making it two in a row for her excited connections.
A five-year-old daughter of Dundeel [NZ], Amizetta has been lightly raced with just 16 starts under her belt and has appreciated the step out to 2400m at her last two starts, winning each by 1.5 lengths.
Wednesday's win was the fifth of her career and second at metropolitan level, prompting stable representative Ben Casanelia to label her a mare that is going places, with an exciting 12 to 18 months ahead.
Amizetta is a graduate of Willow Park's 2022 Inglis Premier Sale draft, where she was knocked down to Wilde Racing, Flying Start Syndications and Pinhook Bloodstock International for $65,000. Following Wednesday's win, she has banked $138,000 for connections.
Bred by longtime client Alan Galbraith, Amizetta is the second foal of the well-related Aonair (Fastnet Rock), a dual metropolitan winner herself.
Out of a full-sister to the outstanding racemare Alinghi (Encosta de Lago), Aonair was purchased as a $400,000 yearling by Michael Otto Bloodstock on Alan's behalf and has produced two winners from her first two foals to race.
While she doesn't have a yearling this season, she has a filly at foot by Stay Inside and is in foal to Castelvecchio, carrying a three-quarter sibling to Amizetta.
