Talented Miss throws dual stakes winner

A dominant win in Saturday’s Listed Winter Challenge Stakes at Rosehill by Midnight Dynamite again highlighted a great season for Willow Park-sold broodmares.

 

Previously stakes placed, the four-year-old son of Pierata has stepped it up a gear this time in, winning four of his six starts this preparation for Bjorn Baker Racing, two of those at Listed level in dominant fashion. 

 

With a total of 22 starts under his belt for nine wins, seven placings and $735,000 prizemoney, Midnight Dynamite is a horse with a very exciting future for Darby Racing and connections.

 

He is also one of three stakes winners in the past 18 months bred by Rheinwood Pastoral Co. out of mares purchased from Willow Park, joining Group 1 winners Private Harry (ex Happy Pilgrim) and Libertad (ex Electric Charge).

 

Midnight Dynamite is the third foal from two-time winner Talented Miss (Al Maher), who was sold by WP at the 2018 Magic Millions Broodmare Sale for $85,000 to Mitchell Bloodstock and Rheinwood Pastoral Co.

 

Sold carrying her first foal by Shalaa, Talented Miss (pictured) is a full-sister to Listed placegetter Acouplamas, who has since produced two stakes winners, including Gr1 Australian Derby winner Quick Thinker.
